Use citrus based products, then try freezing it if it still won’t come off.

I’ve had luck soaking a cloth in boiled water and using that. If your hands aren’t made of old leather like mine maybe use gloves or something.

I’ve used WD-40 with some success. Also goo-be-gone should work or diesel fuel, but that really stinks. Let me know what works, I’ve got a thousand little dots of tar on my car right now....

Tarminator (not joking) by Stoner (still not joking). Just bought some myself, worked like charm. Spray it on the rag if it’s a little spot or thin smear. If it’s thick then you may have to apply directly to the finish and let it work, but that finish will be absolutely bare (no wax or polish) afterwards.

Haven’t waxed this season yet, so this may be the best bet. Is it available in stores?

Wal-Mart, O’Reilly’s, AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts. At least a couple of your local stores should have it.

I’ve had good luck with Turtle brand Bug & Tar remover, albeit more with bugs than tar. It needs some time to soak but seems to work well.

Tar remover or clay can remove it. Paint cleaner can also remove it. What do you use to wash? Some soaps are better at getting stuck on grime than others.
